Please

Somebody please, please, please order my one of these and fill it up with wonderful amazing games, please!

I've wanted an R4 card for ages but can't quite really get my head around it all. Like I can, but I can't really be bothered because my friends have moaned about not being able to find the right software and having this problem and that problem.

I want one with a big memory so I can fill it up with movies and music as well as games, it'd be so great to have some movies or TV shows to watch when I'm on the tube to distract me from the journey and the weirdos (on the tube there are always weirdos).

Anyone an R4 card expert by any chance? I will repay you with kudos, happy thoughts and maybe a cake and a cup of tea. Apply now.

Never going shopping again

2011-06-10 9:51 am

All I needed was a pair of plain, simple mens chinos, nothing else, just that.

But going to the high street was the worst way to try and do that.

First I get harassed by every charity person on the way along the high street - literally every single one tried to make a beeline for me. My friend used to do it, and said they called themselves 'chuggers', as in charity muggers. They wouldn't leave me alone!

When I finally got a department store I thought might have them, I was met with perfume stench, barged and shoved as I went to the escalators and then when I got to the men's department it was confusing with lots of mini shops rather than easy to use sections.

So I left, and a now looking online instead. I know my size, I should've just done this in the first place and saved myself the hassle.

What happened to the heatwave?

2011-05-27 10:44 am

Did I miss something? Everyone last week was going on about a crazy heatwave that would be hitting the UK and pushing temperatures up to 29C starting last weekend and lasting two weeks. Where is it?

It was all over the media, but this week the weather's been really chilly and dull, and yesterday was the craziest weather I've seen in a long time! I know we've been starved of rain recently, but yesterday we had really heavy spells broken up by spells of sunshine, changing every 20 minutes or so, it was amazing.

Personally, I'm sort of glad there is no heatwave, because I'm stuck indoors in front of my computer all day sorting out managed hosting for my website, I'm literally working around the clock, so I wouldn't be enjoying it anyway!

Hopefully we do get the heatwave in a few weeks when I'm done, so I don't sit longingly staring out of the window!

MS in Briton

2011-05-23 9:15 pm

Apparently the UK is one of the worse places to suffer from MS. It is like a postcode lotto resultat on your care and the treatment you receive.

According to a piece by Sky News - the rights to die campaigner Debbie Purdie is refused life longing drugs although she wants the right to die. It is ridiculous.

See the piece here: http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Multiple-Sclerosis-Britain-Is-One-Of-The-Worst-Countries-In-Europe-For-People-With-Disease/Article/201105415997356?f=rss

Shoreditch Farm

2010-11-22 6:15 pm

Shoreditch Farm is my latest London discovery of outdoorsy type things to do and what a find it is. I mean how often is it that we can find an actual form in the centre of a fairly built up suburban area? Never. Well, never unless it is the end of the world and we are now faced with a post apocalyptic farming movement which just wander through the ruins....although, would that even be classed as suburban anymore? Would it just be rural....or Nu-rural.... This is besides the point.
What I guess I am trying to say is that Shoreditch farm is great. Sure they only have pigs, chickens, donkeys and goats and a dog but hey, what do you want. As clearly pointed out in the above, its in the middle of freaking suburbia.
Anyway, go visit, go talk to the cool scenesters of the locality and pet a donkey. You will love it and you deserve it.
